Welcome to Supersoniq! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Supersoniq's website, platform, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Supersoniq Inc. ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are using Supersoniq on behalf of a school, company, or organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so and agree to these Terms on their behalf.

2. Services Overview

Supersoniq allows users to:

  • Turn YouTube videos into interactive micro-lessons.
  • Use AI to generate educational summaries and quizzes.
  • View age-based suitability ratings and flagged keywords for content.

These tools are designed to assist — not replace — human judgment in determining appropriate learning content.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure.
  • Any activity that occurs under your account.
  • Ensuring your use of the Services complies with applicable laws.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload, link to, or generate lessons from unlawful or harmful content.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, or misuse the platform.
  • Use the Services in a way that infringes on the rights of others.

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations.

5. AI Content Disclaimer

AI-Generated Summaries, Ratings, and Content Flags

Supersoniq uses AI models and natural language processing (e.g., Amazon Comprehend) to automatically generate content summaries, suggest age ratings, highlight keywords of concern, and create quiz questions, answers, and results. These outputs may be displayed in the platform, emailed to parents/guardians, or otherwise shared as part of our Services.

These outputs are:

  • Generated automatically without human review.
  • Provided for informational and educational purposes only.
  • Not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or contextually appropriate.

You acknowledge and agree:

  • Final decisions about a video's suitability, quiz content, or interpretation of quiz results rest with the parent, guardian, or educator.
  • Supersoniq is not liable for any harm, misinformation, or inappropriate use resulting from reliance on AI-generated content, including emailed quiz results.
  • Parents and educators should review all quiz results, summaries, and related content before sharing them with students.

6. Subscription & Billing

Some Supersoniq features are available only through a paid subscription. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following:

a. Recurring Billing

You authorize Supersoniq and our billing provider (Outseta) to automatically charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected) until you cancel. Charges may include applicable taxes.

b. Pricing

All pricing is clearly displayed at the time of subscription. We reserve the right to modify prices or plans at any time. If we change your subscription price, we will notify you in advance and give you the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.

c. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Your access will continue through the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months or unused time.

d. Free Trials

If you sign up for a free trial, you will not be charged until the trial ends. After the trial, your payment method will be charged automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends.

e. Payment Processing

All payments are securely processed through Outseta, a third-party subscription and billing provider. By using Supersoniq, you also agree to Outseta's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

f. Failed Payments

If your payment method fails, we may retry the charge or suspend access until the issue is resolved. Continued non-payment may result in account termination.

7. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, and software are owned by Supersoniq. You retain rights to any content you upload, but grant us a license to use it solely to provide the Services.

AI-generated content is provided as-is and may not be reused for commercial purposes outside the Supersoniq platform.

8. Third-Party Content

Supersoniq allows you to link to third-party content (e.g., YouTube videos). We do not own or control this content and are not responsible for its accuracy, safety, or legality.

9. YouTube Content Disclaimer

Supersoniq allows users to paste YouTube URLs to generate AI-powered educational content such as quizzes and summaries. We do not host or store YouTube videos, nor are we affiliated, endorsed, or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC in any way.

By using this feature, you agree that:

  • All linked YouTube content remains the property of its original creator.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your use of third-party content complies with YouTube's Terms of Service, API Services Terms, and applicable copyright laws.
  • Supersoniq does not monitor or verify YouTube content, and assumes no responsibility for its accuracy, legality, or appropriateness.
  • Any claims of copyright infringement or DMCA violations should be directed to the original content host, not Supersoniq.

Supersoniq simply provides tools to analyze publicly available video content using AI for educational purposes. We do not facilitate downloads or rehosting of any YouTube material.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

  • The platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • AI-generated content will be accurate or appropriate.
  • The platform will meet your specific educational needs.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Supersoniq shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

Our total liability will not exceed the greater of: (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the past 6 months.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the new Terms.

14. Quiz Results & Quiz Email Disclaimer

Supersoniq may send quiz results, lesson summaries, or related educational updates to parents, guardians, or educators by email as part of our Services. These outputs are generated using AI-assisted tools and natural language processing, and may also appear within the Supersoniq platform.

These outputs are:

  • Generated automatically without human review.
  • Provided for informational and educational purposes only.
  • Not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or contextually appropriate.

Parents, guardians, and educators are solely responsible for reviewing all quiz results, summaries, and related content before sharing them with students or relying on them to assess knowledge, skills, or progress. Supersoniq shall not be liable for any decisions, actions, or consequences arising from the use of or reliance on emailed quiz results or related educational content.
